Tyler King
VP of Operations

Tyler has most recently been with New River Hardwoods since 2018. He also worked for the company from 1999 to 2014. Tyler began as a manager of company owned logging crews. He then took on the role of Harvesting Manager and in 2001 transitioned into sawmill management. Eventually, Tyler became Vice President of West Virginia Operations which included three sawmills and associated forestry activities.
Following sale of the West Virginia Operations, Tyler transitioned into the role of Plant Manager for Allegheny Wood Products in Beckley, WV. He also spent time as a Project Manager as some of Allegheny's other facilities. Prior to his time with New River, Tyler spent three years with Pittston Coal as Land Management Forester and was active in starting the company's wood products division, Mountain Forest Products.
Tyler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Wildlife, specializing in Industrial Forestry Operations.
Away from Sawmilling, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys competitive mountain biking, running, hunting, and fishing.
